How I Release

A passionate Community Activist, philanthropist and Army Veteran and founder of Sip and Shot Us is a self taught artist who has created such collections as Wood Illusion, Life and Shattered Glass Collection is widely recognized for her unique ability to capture emotions through her art. She is innovative with her use of materials and ability to manipulate light, shadow, and space to create the illusory effect of her artwork lifting off the canvas, glass, or wood.


Lisa considers her style to be an eclectic mix of expressionism and realism with multi-layered images that often projects a three-dimensional quality has had the privilege of opening for icons such as Stevie Wonder and her art is currently being featured in various universities and celebrity homes however, she remains most humbled from being Commissioned by the Pentagon to produce a commemorative piece called "Honor 911" in honor of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy.

Her artworks, both cultural and sensual, also graces the walls of President of Federally Employed Women,  New York Jets' Kris Jenkins, NBA basketball star Chris Webber, singer Anthony Hamilton, producer Yvette Lee Bowser, entertainers the Wayans, Rufus Rivers, numerous homes in New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Los Angeles, St. Croix, and the DMV area.



In 2007 and 2008 Lisa and NY Jet Pro Bowler Kris Jenkins founded and hosted the Washington DC International Arts Expo held at the Washington DC Convention Center for emerging artist to be introduced and recognized by the local and national arts community. A year later, this event would feature 100 of the most celebrated artists in the world and raise more than 7K for Hoop Dreams foundation and the Dr. King Memorial.
